Midwifery Services on the Wirral

At One to One we believe that every woman should have a midwife who can provide continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth and up to 6 weeks postnatal.

Our midwives work as part of a small team of 4 to 6 midwives based in the community who liaise closely with all other NHS services to ensure you get the care you and your baby need.

Our midwives are available 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm for routine appointments and visits - in a community setting local to you or at home, and there will always be a midwife on 24 hour call for emergencies.

One to One Midwives are free to all NHS patients and are available under Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Birkenhead
  • Wallasey
  • Bebington
  • Heswall
  • Hoylake
  • West Kirby

Care takes place in your homes (or location of your choice) at times to suit your needs and the vast majority of visits can take place in the evening or at weekends to ensure that your partners are also active participants in the care. There are no limits to the number of visits and you and midwife will agree how often the visits should take place to meet the individual needs of your family.

Our service is completely free of charge and you can self refer to us in the following ways:

Bumps to Mums Coffee Morning: Every Wednesday starting 7th March 2018 from 13:00 - 15:00 at The Madhouse 158 Bebington Rd, Bebington, Wirral CH63 7NX.

At One to One, we want to ensure that your pregnancy, birth and post-natal experience is satisfying and empowering. So, to help you get the most out of this special journey, we are holding coffee mornings every Monday at our Pregnancy Advice Centre for mums in the local area. There's so many ways to socialise, learn, and enjoy a healthy, happy pregnancy. These coffee mornings are a great way to meet other mums (and dads are welcome too!) in a similar situation to you. Maybe you're new to the local area and don't have a support network close by. Our team of MaMAs and midwives will be on hand during every coffee morning to give you any additional advice and support you may need.

Parent Folk Family Social Weekender: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June 2018 2018 from 11:30 - 16:30 at Claremont Farm, Bebington, Wirral.
